Historic Uptown District

The heart of Marysville, in both community spirit and commerce, is the historic Uptown District. Efforts are underway to enhance the business and residential environment in Uptown Marysville by retaining and attracting small businesses and entrepreneurs, supporting the development of loft and upper‐level residential units, exploring comprehensive marketing and tourism opportunities, and by creating positive partnerships that promote an attractive and unique Uptown District.

Uptown Marysville continues to witness extensive investment, further evidence of its true economic vitality. Since 2008, the Uptown District has received more than $2,500,000 in private investment and an additional $2,100,000 in infrastructure improvements including new a new City Hall and Fire Station, Partners Park and Community Green, street lights and banners, traffic signals, benches, flower pots and hanging baskets. These improvements, together with the dedication of residents, business owners and community leaders, will ensure that Uptown Marysville continues to flourish for generations to come.

2017 Uptown Revitalization Plan

In 2016, a group of Uptown stakeholders, City and County officials, and residents came together to develop a unified vision for the Uptown District and to plot the future growth of the neighborhood. This plan was adopted by Marysville City Council in February 2017. Download the 2017 Uptown Revitalization Plan.
